To win the peace
Saddam Hussein�s collapse, when it came this week, was like the end of Romania�s Nicolae Ceaucescu, or of the Berlin Wall. It was the simple and sudden reassertion of human freedom after years of brutal tyranny. It was also a reminder that sooner or later, no matter how long or savage the oppression, the urge of humans to be free will triumph.
